Free and open to the public, Wednesdays from 1 - 4 PM at the Shorb Market and Connection Center, 603 Shorb Avenue NW in Canton.

Overview

Offered in partnership with our friends from Canton for All People, advocates will be onsite to share information about our services and help residents identify legal solutions to issues that may be blocking their efforts to lead productive, stable, and meaningful lives.

Advocates can answer questions related to:

  • Small business and nonprofit start-ups
  • Court debt and/or barriers to employment
  • Poor rental conditions
  • Family law matters and protection orders
  • Consumer debt
  • and other civil legal issues

Community Legal Aid's NLP Project works to promote economic development in historically disadvantaged neighborhoods by providing legal advocacy, expertise, and support to strengthen grassroots efforts in expanding social justice and racial equity. Project staff aims to empower disinvested communities and build coalitions for positive social change.
