SAFE Day: The Intersection of Domestic Violence and Firearms

Register now for Community Legal Aid’s SAFE Day 2026, a VIRTUAL half-day multidisciplinary training focusing on the intersection of domestic violence and firearms.

This year’s training is FREE TO ATTEND and will feature speakers from the Battered Women’s Justice Project:

• Jennifer Becker, Esq., Director of the National Center on Gun Violence in Relationships at the Battered Women’s Justice Project 
• Annie Struby, Esq., Project Director of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and Firearms
   

Topics Include: 

• An overview of the law regarding firearms and domestic violence both nationally and in Ohio
• Information and tools for safety planning
• Implementation of effective firearms relinquishment
   

3 hours of CLE/CEUs have been requested.
