Internship – Legal Assistance to Victims Project (Akron or Canton Office)
Community Legal Aid is a private non-profit law firm which works to bridge the gap between poverty and justice for those in need. Legal Aid is the primary provider of free civil legal representation to low income and elderly residents of central northeast Ohio, concentrating its efforts on legal work that makes a difference in the lives of those it serves.
Community Legal Aid's Legal Assistance to Victims team is seeking a 2L, 3L, or post graduate volunteer intern. We are seeking an intern that is interested in domestic relations law and victim-centered legal advocacy.
The intern will assist with drafting pleadings and discovery requests/responses, conducting client interviews, and legal research.
The ideal candidate will be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
