Management Team: Dawn Spriggs

Dawn Spriggs is Managing Attorney for Community Legal Aid's HelpLine.

Dawn came to Community Legal Aid in 2005 as a volunteer and was hired as a full-time staff member in 2007. She was promoted to her current position in 2017.

Dawn has experience in representing low-income clients in a variety of matters, including housing, re-entry, estate planning, and probate. She has presented on topics including fair housing, mobile home law, re-entry, estate planning, and general legal rights, all of which impact low-income residents in the region.

Outside of her role at Community Legal Aid, Dawn served on the boards of local non-profits. Dawn was formerly the Board Chair of the YWCA Canton. She was a Trustee of the Massillon Museum. Additionally, Dawn is a graduate of the 34th class of Leadership Stark County. Dawn is a member of the Akron Bar Association, Stark County Bar Association, and Ohio State Bar Association. Dawn serves on the Stark County Bar Association's Certified Grievance Committee.

Dawn earned her juris doctor degree from Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law in 2003 after living in Chicago for four years while attending undergraduate school at DePaul University.

Dawn is a native Ohioan from Stark County.
