Management Team: Betsy McIntyre

Betsy McIntyre is the Accounting Manager with Community Legal Aid Services. Betsy joined Legal Aid at the end of April, 2021 and supports the organization's financial and business operations.


Prior to joining Legal Aid, Betsy worked for Coleman Professional Services, a nonprofit behavioral health organization as the Senior Grants Accountant.  She has over 20 years of experience in accounting, performing audits for non-profit organizations and other accounting tasks such as taxes.  In addition to her role at Legal Aid, Betsy works as an accounting contractor with the Portage Foundation.


Betsy actively serves the community in a variety of roles. She is the Treasurer and past President of the Rotary Club of Fairlawn. She is the Secretary of the Summit County Astronomy Club and helps out at our observatory at the Bath Nature Preserve.  


Betsy is also a Trustee on the board of the Neohio Region Sports Car Club of America and enjoys taking her Mini Cooper out to autocross.


When she is not having fun with cars, she likes to get dirty working in her garden and hikes at local parks and trails.  She has one son who is recently married and a grand dog who loves to go hiking as well.


Betsy is an alumnus of the University of Akron, having received both a BS in Accounting and an MBA.  Her MBA is in management with a concentration in nonprofit organizations.
