Maria Duvuvuei is Director of Development and Communications for Community Legal Aid.

As Director of Development and Communications, she oversees marketing, public relations, media relations, donor relations, fundraising, internal communications, and community engagement for the eight counties in the organization's service area.
Prior to her role at Legal Aid, Maria was Communications Manager for Staff Engagement and Support at the Cleveland Clinic. In this role, she was responsible for internal communication strategies, including executive presentations, web design, content development, and marketing materials for over 4,000 international professional scientists and physician staff.
Before joining the Clinic, Maria served as Strategy and Communications Coordinator for Academic Affairs at Kent State University. There, she managed communications for the Chief Academic Officer, including executive presentations and speechwriting, and coordinated strategic projects.
Outside of her role at Legal Aid, Maria is an active volunteer in her home community of Akron. She volunteers at ACCESS homeless shelter and for Blessings in a Backpack. She also has served on the board of several local non-profits and young professional organizations.
Maria earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Kent State University, where she studied journalism, editorial planning, team communication, and cultural communication.
