Managing Attorney: Ayesha Cotton

Ayesha Cotton is the Managing Attorney for Community Legal Aid’s I Promise Project. In this role she oversees the holistic legal representation provided for the families in the I Promise School and the LeBron James Family Foundation’s I Promise Network. She is the Co-Chair for the Neighborhood Stabilization Taskforce, which is a statewide task force focusing on community economic development. She is also a member of the statewide Education Taskforce. 

 

Ayesha joined the firm in 2019 as a Ohio Access to Justice Foundation Justice for All Fellow. As a fellow she provided direct representation for a variety of civil legal matters through the I Promise Project.

 

Outside of her role at Legal Aid, Ayesha enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering within her community, and traveling.

 

Ayesha earned her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2019. She earned her Master of Education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education in 2021, and her Bachelor of Science from Howard University in 2016.
